Bramble
2005 - 24th May 2009
Always remembered.
Sleep tight Bramble xx
Below is a poem from Jackie McCabe
A VERY LUCKY ANGEL
Across the way in the kennels
Stood a beautiful little greyhound
She wasn’t ours but a council dog
Just found dumped and left roaming around
You took my breath away Bramble
As you gazed with those big almond eyes
I felt myself melt as you looked at me
My tummy full of butterflies
So of course I knew we would take you
I only had to say
And we swore that we would find a home
Where you would be safe for all of your days
You were gentle and a little timid
Someone had hurt you, once upon a time
But no more, we promised you
Everything’s going to be just fine
You left us that day Bramble
While you slept, you just slipped away
You felt no pain it was just your time
But the grief won’t go away
We nearly had a Mum for you
She was coming to take you home
A life of love and happiness
Like nothing you had ever known
But when a dog dies before a family is found
Something truly magical awaits
There is a very lucky angel waiting
To take their new dog, through Heavens gates
Hope your angel is everything you deserve little Bramble
Sleep Tight Baby, We all miss you every single day

Magic
Never Forgotten
Sleep tight magic xx
Below is a poem from Jackie McCabe
I can’t believe I held you,
You were only just a dream
Small and scared and loving
Not long for here it seems
I saw your face and I loved you
Eyes red and oh so scared
You head dipped as we moved our arms
You did not know we cared
Take is easy with her is what we thought
She is a special girl for sure
Someone has hurt her before now
But love will be her cure
I just can’t forget those almond eyes
Watching me all day
Like you could not believe that it was real
Like you were scared I would go away
My foster dog, my Magic
You have left us all alone
We tried to make it good for you
And found you a loving home
But God had other plans for you
He wanted to keep you near
An angel dog sat by his side
Never again to know such fear
Night night baby we miss you
How I wish that you could stay
Your foster mum’s heart was broken
When you flew away that day
Such a little girl with a great big heart
Not long for here it seems
And although I miss you everyday
I’ll see you in my dreams
